We are modifying the aim of RecruiterSalary.com to be a resource directory for recruiters looking for information about the compensation side of the recruiting profession.
Do you know particularly good resources besides the obvious ones like Salary.com? Do you know about sites which compare recruiter commission plans and compensation?
Let us know here!
Thanks

Job Trends for Recruiters
Recruiting jobs and certainly recruiter salaries have been under pressure due to the current economic conditions. Recruiting jobs tend to move with the general economy and according to general hiring practices and unemployment ratios. Job trends for recruiters are usually forward looking indicators of hiring activity, meaning that recruiter hiring picks up 3-12 months before mass hiring begins.
We would anticipate that as labor markets pick up again, there should be an initial wave of recruiting hiring before the peak of staff hiring. The optimal hiring environment for recruiters tends to be before the peak of staff hiring. Companies hire recruiters when they anticipate hiring needs. Recruiter hiring at peaks of employment actually leads to quick layoffs, as demand for staff hiring shrivels.
However, recruitment employment trends fluctuate according to micro-conditions, such as local employment and very specific industry waves.
